Fall Must Haves- corStyle Edition

Fall is upon us readers! Doesn't it feel amazing to feel a slight chill in the air? I for one, could not be more happy to have cooler temps and pumpkin everything popping up everywhere! There is something about October coming that always makes me so happy. Besides PSL's, one thing that makes me happy is seeing all the hot items coming around for the changing season. The below list are my first corStyle Fall must haves!

Boots/Booties/Mules:

River Island
Every fall the time comes when women scour the world for the best pair of boots/booties and in this seasons case, mules!  In my opinion, my favorite option booties, keep getting better and better as the years go by! In fact, the greatest thing about them this year are the chunky heels. Another really fun trend that is happening are open toed booties. This will be extra great for the transition from summer to fall because a lot of places stay warm until Mid November.

This River Island deep brown almost plumb bootie is a perfect way to ring in fall! Can't you picture yourself with denim and a scarf or an amazing skirt and tights rocking these? I love the heel on these, well I love everything! We need this pair of booties friends!

See by Chloe

Now, this knee high boot is simply a knockout. I love the black pebbled leather and the chunky brown heel and sole. When I think of a classic boot that can be worn for a few seasons, a look such as this comes to mind. Be sure to stock your closets with something similar to this, that is a great quality, that can last you for years to come.

Vince

This bootie is so amazing! I love that it has the peep toe action and the gorgeous gray color. This can be worn with jeans, dresses, leggings or even skirts! The possibilities are endless. Incorporating some gray into your wardrobe is a good thing this season. Try something new and don't be afraid of it, you will be surprised how much you like it!

Giuseppe Zanotti

Mules right now are all the rage! I never actually thought I would type those words, but they are! These Giuseppe suede mules are perfection. Again, you can dress them up or down, the following gorgeous pair are for fancy occasions but who wouldn't want to strut these in the board room too!?

Coats/Capes:

Jolie Moi

There are so many fun new coats out there! You can really get into the spirit this season with a variety of great things in many different shapes and sizes.

This vibrant color sure will help to make those cold days and nights a little less awful. We don't have many cold days where I live, and this coat sure makes me wish we did. The kelly green is a great fall color and the trench makes this item a real classic piece. Again, don't let the color scare you. Try to find yourself a coat you look forward to getting out of the closet. It might make those cold days less awful.

Ralph Lauren

This vibrant red wool coat is stunning and would be just the trick to get you through those cold days. Oh and of course, it looks brilliant with denim or chambray!

Rachel Zoe

I love the hardware on this wool coat. After my post about the entire scandal collection, I have been obsessing on finding a super cute cape for fall/winter! This RZ cape with the great buckles would be a wonderful edition to any wardrobe.

C. Wonder

This C. Wonder coat is the best gray color and also ranks high on my list of must haves! Its also the perfect color to transition you from fall to winter. Its low key with an added fashionable touch. Clearly, capes are going to be making a transition into my wardrobe this fall.

Leather:

Leather, faux leather, even pleather for that matter is making a big splash this season. You can find it in all sorts of outfits and so many options. Below are a few of my favorite for fall.

LOFT

This faux leather mini from the Loft is AMAZING!!! I highly recommend it as the weather begins to cool down. If you are looking for a comfortable, chic, fashionable skirt and want to try something in the leather family, this ones for you. I own it and am obsessed with the length, pockets and the fact that it is so comfortable. Not to mention a score with the amazing price tag.

LOFT

Everyone knows I love lace. Now everyone knows I love leather. SO, the Loft decided to combine two of my favorite things. I hate the pants they paired it with, but in person this piece is so pretty. Very delicate with the sleeves but has a splash of edge with the leather. This is another piece you could transition in that would be a great start to the leather world if you are nervous about trying something different.

LOFT

How amazing are these faux leather pierced, skinny ankle zip jeans!? Talk about being able to dress up or dress down a look! You can wear this out on a date or to the office on a casual day. Love love love these!

Scarves:

I love scarves. For along time, my coworkers would make fun of me because I liked to wear scarves, in particular a cream pashmina scarf every day. Well, I still have a love affair with scarves and this season there are some wonderful looks that I am all about!

Nordstroms

This infinity scarf is amazing and comes in a variety of colors. At $26.00 a pop, you could get two! PS- I always think infinity scarves make your look effortless. They are super easy to wrap and add that perfect extra touch to lots of different fall looks.

Nordstrom

This classic woven scarf can be worn so many different ways! I love this gray color, but they have white and yellow and even pink! This could even be a great transition from fall/winter to spring/summer because of the light colors and the weight of the fabric. As much as I love fall scarves, I love me some summer scarves.

I hope that this list of must haves help you determine what things you will want to pick up for your fall wardrobes! Leave me a message and let me know what you are thinking about adding to your closet!

Until next time fashion friends,

XO-
Cor

Wedding Wednesday- Best Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from  Elle Magazine . They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days. Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started: 1) No cream or white-- Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received. 2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be-- If the invitation says blac...

Trendy Festival Wear - 2016

Hello there to my favorite readers! Festival season is now officially upon us. One thing I noticed this year is that the fashion retailers are advertising specifically to the festival goer, making it easier than ever to find your perfect look. It doesn't seem like it has changed too much since last year, besides there is even more of a 70's vibe mixed with the 90's in these looks. However, we still have the obvious staples -- the  headbands, the crop tops and the ripped jeans. Lets dive right into some of the best festival looks this season and how they can transition into your summer wardrobe and beyond! Grecian style shoes . I mean, perfection. I mean, say no more! These shorts ,some denim, a big hat and a choker! Your comfy and trendy! Georgy Georg bright colored dress . Pompom Playsuit . Need it! PS, is playsuit the new word for romper!? Braided headband!? I want it and Im not going to a festival! Obsessed with this v...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancĂ©   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...
