Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from Elle Magazine. They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days.
Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started:
1) No cream or white--
Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received.
2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be--
If the invitation says black tie or casual, take note! The last thing you want is to be over or under dressed for an event. Also, pay attention to what the venue is to help you get a better idea of how to dress. Do a little research people if you are confused!
Now that we have established basic rules, its on to the good stuff!! Its no surprise for people who know me, to know how much I love floral prints. In fact, I am going to rock a similar floral look to an upcoming wedding this July! This dress is adorable, summery and chic with the longer peplum look!

The next look I wanted to feature was the little light pink, slinky number below! It is absolutely gorgeous, feminine and just sexy enough! I love this color and in fact have been toying with this color for my bridesmaids!
This number is made by Nicholas and its $520. You can purchase it here.
Another great color scheme, especially as we get into the summer is something similar to the blue dress below! This particular dress is ultra flirty and fun with the tulle! This dress is made by WTOO and was found on TheKnot.com.
Now, I understand that not everyone loves that princess look, so if you are looking for a gorgeous blue dress to wear click here, here or even here!
Last, but certainly not least, we have the traditional black cocktail dress. Everyone loves black, everyone looks great in black so why not feature an updated spin on the traditional LBD.
This particular dress is made by Noir by Lazaro and was found at TheKnot.com. If you are looking for great updated options to the LBD click here, here or here!
Happy corStyling fashion friends! I hope that these tips help you be the most fashionable guest at any summer wedding you may attend!

DeleteCould the floral print be pulled off when your pregnant... or not so much? I just love that dress!!
ReplyDeleteI don't see why you couldn't pull off that floral dress being pregnant! Especially if you are early in your pregnancy. The only thing I could see being uncomfortable is that waistband. It looks as though it hits high so it could be ok. If you end up buying it, send me a picture to my Instagram so I can see your bump style! Happy shopping! XO
