Oscars- 2015 edition

Readers and friends,

It's finally the Oscars!! It is one of my most favorite times of year. I usually have a large gathering with my best friends and family and this year was no exception. We had apps, and champagne and truly celebrated the films, fashion and everything that is Hollywood. With that, lets get into the best dressed of the evening!!

Lupita Nyong'o seen here in a custom pearl Calvin Klein gown. I will tell you, I was so curious how she was going to out do her last years look, but this is so beautiful in a totally different kind of way. I adore her and am obsessed with the pearls and the peak a boo cut outs that is this dress. Way to go Lupita!

OMG Julienne Moore!! She is seen here in custom Channel and looks beyond gorgeous. This dress on screen looked absolutely incredible, yet I feel it didn't photograph as well. After wearing Givenchy all season, she choose to switch it up tonight which I was so happy about. I absolutely love this look and wish her all the best tonight.

Anna Kendrick seen here in custom Thakoon. She looks the most beautiful I have ever seen her and it reminds me of what Jennifer Gray looked like in her Dirty Dancing debut at the other hotel she danced at. I adore the sparkle and color of this dress. Good for her for trying something a bit different!

Rita Ora looked incredible tonight!!! She for sure rocked it in this black and gold gown. The fit of the dress is outstanding. Who doesn't love a good mermaid look!?

Kerry Washington is seen here in Mui Mui. Oh Hello Georgous!!! She is the most beauitful person I have seen tonight!! I 100% am obsessed with Scandal and am 100% in love with her look. On point tonight!

Hello Zoe Saldana. I understand you just had twins and oh my you would never ever know that if you didn't follow pop culture!! She looks beyond. I absolutely adore the color of her gown and the shade of her jewels. A + from Cor.

Jennifer Lopez!! I am obsessed with all things ball gown and this color is on another level. Top it off with that pony tail and you have an amazing, memorable look.

Chris Pratt. Hello Handsome. Your Welcome.

Emma Stone is seen here in Elle Saab. She looked beyond this evening in this chartreuse sparkly number. She has gone for an array of looks this season and this one is for sure the cake topper. She looks so good. I just love her.

At the start of the evening, I mentioned to my good friends who I thought would be the best dressed of the evening. Drum roll please....... Jennifer Aniston seen here in Versace!!!! OMG readers, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I'm right! She just looks incredible.  I have never seen her look better. PS- how much do you love that she is rocking a version of the "Rachel" hair!!

With that, I want to get right into the worst dressed of the evening:

I will tell you, there weren't that many hideous looks this evening, which as a fashion blogger, was very disappointing. However there were a few that were.. underwhelming at best.

1) Marion Cotillard

She looks like the honeycomb cereal we used to eat as kids. I mean.. egh. I hate it. Thats it. Thats all I have.

2) Lady Gaga and her gloves

Need I say more? I mean... she just got engaged! Wouldn't you want to show off that heart shaped rock?? I know this is what we expect from her, but seriously I hate the gloves. Hate it. It ruins the sparkly fun dress she is wearing and it makes her look like she just finished washing dishes. Thumbs down.

3) Gwyneth Paltrow

Leave the light pink vibes in the past. As long as we are leaving things in the past, leave the corsage vibes there as well. Thanks.

4) John Travolta

I absolutely hate how he looks. Egh!! He is looking more creepy with every face lift he gets. Nope, not working.

That is it for this fashion award season friends! It has been a privilege and joy sharing my thoughts with you. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have.

Until next time fashion friends!!

Xo-
Cor

Wedding Wednesday- Best Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from  Elle Magazine . They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days. Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started: 1) No cream or white-- Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received. 2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be-- If the invitation says blac...

Trendy Festival Wear - 2016

Hello there to my favorite readers! Festival season is now officially upon us. One thing I noticed this year is that the fashion retailers are advertising specifically to the festival goer, making it easier than ever to find your perfect look. It doesn't seem like it has changed too much since last year, besides there is even more of a 70's vibe mixed with the 90's in these looks. However, we still have the obvious staples -- the  headbands, the crop tops and the ripped jeans. Lets dive right into some of the best festival looks this season and how they can transition into your summer wardrobe and beyond! Grecian style shoes . I mean, perfection. I mean, say no more! These shorts ,some denim, a big hat and a choker! Your comfy and trendy! Georgy Georg bright colored dress . Pompom Playsuit . Need it! PS, is playsuit the new word for romper!? Braided headband!? I want it and Im not going to a festival! Obsessed with this v...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancĂ©   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...
