Fashion Review- 2014 Emmy Awards

Fashion Friends, There has been some crazy back to back days of glam Hollywood that have happened to us this week and I can't think of a better way to kick off a Monday!! First off, there were SO many amaze looks happening this year at the Emmys. I must touch upon the major fashion trend colors that took the carpet by storm. Red and cream were the nights big winners but of course, there were tons of black and glitz as well. I have this strong desire to bust out a red ball gown to my office tomorrow, yet I feel my directors would think that was odd. Thanks Hollywood! There were several amazing looks this year, but I thought I would start with what I thought was the absolute best look of the night. That award goes to Hayden Panettiere. She looked beyond gorgeous and in my opinion, she has never looked better. She also revealed that she is having a baby girl! Congrats to her on the baby and the outfit, she rocked it tonight! Another major gorgeous moment for this year awards...

Fashion Review- MTV VMA's

I keep asking my fellow friends if we are too old to watch the MTV Video Music Awards?? Am I.. maybe as I don't know half of the artist's names or what they are popular for. However, fashion is fashion people and you can always expect unique looks at the VMA's!! Lets get right into the best looks of the night that I have given my corStyle stamp of approval on: Coming in at the number 5 spot: Nicki Minaj Who doesn't love glitter, sparkle and leopard print!? I just recently watched the best chick flick I have seen in the last 3 years called, The Other Woman .  Leslie Mann (the wife), Cameron Diaz and Brooklyn Decker (the mistresses) all become friends and get back at her husband for being a cheater. Seriously quite the great flick if you are interested and have the time, but regardless Nicki Minaj plays Cameron's assistant and she did such a good acting job! It allowed me to see her in a different, more normal, human light. They styled her character perfectl...

Flashback Friday-- Iconic Fashion Moments from Dirty Dancing

I have always had a love affair with Dirty Dancing. This movie has been around for 27 years and I have watched it a million times but always find myself stopping to watch it while its on TV. Its my happy movie, its pretty spectacular and still captivates me to this day. I have loved this movie since I was a preteen when I would sit in my room for hours and watch the dancers foot steps until I could in fact do the dance myself. I was widely obsessed with dancing as a child and I think this movie definitely played a major role in that.  Recently, my obsession came to an all time high when I was reviewing wedding first dance choices with my fiancé. I put on this song and said, "wouldn't it be fun if we recreated the whole dance and had our bridal party also involved" He rolled his eyes and laughed at me because I don't think he thought I was serious until I proceeded to do my dance moves. HA! How fun would that be?? To my credit, he looked impressed!  I may or may not...

Monthly Edit- Ask Cor

Hello Fashion Friends, I am back from my jet setting adventures. As  I mentioned in earlier posts, I have had a jam packed wedding season this year! I will make sure to answer as many questions as I possibly can! I missed you and am happy to be back to blogging! Until next time,  XO- Cor

Look I Love-- Mixed Prints!

My sister brought to my attention the popularity of mixing prints these past few months. The days are gone where you couldn't mix poka dots with floral or stripes people!! After browsing around online, its very apparent that mixed prints are for sure a look I love!!! It's just amazing to see what goes together when you think outside the box! There are so many great ways to mix prints. Lets review some of the best looks I have stumbled upon. Olivia Palmero is such a fantastic dresser. I mean, I didn't love how awful she was in MTV's The City (major throwback), but she sure does know her style. Olivia Style Here she is seen mixing polka dots and orange stripes!! She also is playing up the orange color and mixing it in nicely with the black. So amazing. I love it!! Miranda Kerr is seen here looking so easy breezy in small stripes with floral print pants. You all know how much I love floral prints ( corStyle ). It just seems like such a good idea to mix the...

Classics that Never Go out of Style- Purse Edition

I should start out by saying I have a weak spot for purses. I think the obsession started in 10th grade when my mother bought me this classic brown Coach purse ,  and ever since I have been hooked and some even close to me would even call obsessed. A good purse can compliment your outfit, it can also help to define the look you are going for. Are you an edgy gal with a loud bag? Are you a conservative woman with a nude purse?  Or are you an adventurous lady with a leopard print bag!? See, there are so many things your carry all can say about you! My obsession peaked to an all time high when I was in college. I had all this "money" leftover from my student loans one semester and I went crazy. Some might be thinking.. " Gosh Cor, isn't that money for you to live on and not have to work so hard at your waitressing job while you are in school??"-- Insert my mothers voice. Well, I had decided that I deserved to buy myself a Louis Vuitton! The Speedy Mono was my ba...

Trendy Thursdays- Floral Prints!!

Gorgeautiful In my opinion, floral prints have become more popular than usual this year. I have always loved this type of look because it is so feminine and elegant but the prints are so major right now that I am more obsessed than ever! I always think of the line from the Devil Wears Prada... Meryl Streep's character Miranda straight faced proclaims, "Florals, for Spring... Groundbreaking". I know this isn't a groundbreaking trend, but it is more popular than previous years in my opinion! Fashionisers You can dress up or down floral prints, you can wear it as separates or as a full dress. Here it is seen on the runways looking as elegant as ever. Brand: Blugirl You may have noticed that this seasons floral prints are more bold than ever before. Use this towards your advantage and really shine this summer. Do not be afraid to incorporate this trend into your look in whatever aspect you can think of. For a few weddings I am going to I will be...
