Fashion Review- 2014 Emmy Awards

Fashion Friends,

There has been some crazy back to back days of glam Hollywood that have happened to us this week and I can't think of a better way to kick off a Monday!! First off, there were SO many amaze looks happening this year at the Emmys. I must touch upon the major fashion trend colors that took the carpet by storm. Red and cream were the nights big winners but of course, there were tons of black and glitz as well. I have this strong desire to bust out a red ball gown to my office tomorrow, yet I feel my directors would think that was odd. Thanks Hollywood!

There were several amazing looks this year, but I thought I would start with what I thought was the absolute best look of the night. That award goes to Hayden Panettiere. She looked beyond gorgeous and in my opinion, she has never looked better. She also revealed that she is having a baby girl! Congrats to her on the baby and the outfit, she rocked it tonight!

Another major gorgeous moment for this year awards season was Sara Hyland!! She makes the crop top look super elegant and I didn't even know that was possible. She is totally rocking both red and cream trends this evening so she gets an A+!! I love her bun, her makeup and jewels. Whoever dresses her should win a medal. It is so nice to see her looking grown up and youthful all in the same breath.

E! Corespondent Giuliana Rancic looked completely on trend in her red frock. She is the most fun and natural person to watch on the red carpet. It really appears like she knows a lot of the stars and they have a good, friendly banter with her. I love all her shows, I love her, I love her husband and thats all I have to say on the matter!!

Orange is the New Black's Taylor Schilling killed it in her Zuhair Murad gown. I haven't seen her on many red carpets as her show totally just took off again, but looks incredible and is worlds away from the prisons jumpsuit. Spectacular. Zuhair Murad dressed several nominees tonight and I must say his work is immaculate, intricate and down right stunning.

Ahh, Olivia Pope, I mean Kerry Washington is back people and she is looking better than ever post baby girl Isabel. Here she is seen in Prada and looks down right stunning. I must say, there were so many people dressed in red that it was so refreshing to see this gorgeous color of orange around the carpet. She took a risk, and I absolutely loved it.

Camila Mcconaughey also looked completely incredible in this Zuhair Murad number. I absolutely loved the sheer appearance of the material. Her hair looked stunning, her makeup looked stunning and accessories were right on par. I love the cut of this dress as you don't see 3/4 sleeves all that often on a Hollywood carpet and its refreshing. Fantastic look.

Now on to the icks of the night. Katherine Heigal. WTF is wrong with you? Why are you wearing your grandmothers gown to one of the biggest nights of the year for you? Really? Really. Her stylist should be shot. Albeit, she is on trend color wise, so good for her.

It must be Greys Anatomy trying to relive the glory days night as Kate Walsh looks sub par as well. I must say, I love the bold color of this dress, however the peplum and the sparkle just doesn't work or do her natural beauty any justice. I commend her for the bold try, but she for sure fell short as this wasn't supposed to be an ice skating special.

Last, but certainly not least Sarah Paulson looks like a confetti popper exploded on her. Eeeeeeeek! I have no other words for this other than itchy???!! Yikes.

That wraps it up for this Emmy season! I had so much fun reviewing what everyone wore tonight. Please leave any comments on who your favorites were of the night!

Until next time fashion friends,

XO-
Cor

Wedding Wednesday- Best Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from  Elle Magazine . They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days. Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started: 1) No cream or white-- Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received. 2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be-- If the invitation says blac...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancĂ©   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...
