Fashion Review- 2015 Met Gala

Last years Met Gala marked my very first fashion review! I was so excited to cover my second Met Gala and for this years theme to be "China through the looking Glass". There were so many amazing looks of the evening that it was hard to pick my favorites. Lets get right into who slayed and who didn't quite make the cut.

Kim K. West and Kanye in custom Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli. Some say that this dress looks a little bit like a look that Cher went for years ago. I really think the details on this dress are insanely gorgeous!!

Now, Beyonce was bringing it last night!! It is so rare we see this much of her and OMG did she slay slay slay! Her dress was custom made for her by Givenchy and those jewels and color of the dress were amazing. This is a very strong look and it worked for her in a big way all while incorporating the nights theme!

Jennifer Lawrence really captivates the trends of this fashion season with the theme of the Gala. You can see the cherry blossoms really shine through on this Dior dress. I really like the classic vibe she was going for.

Zoe Kravitz rocked it in this Alexander Wang dress. Loved it! Her arms are amazing, just as a PS.

Selena Gomez seen here rocking a Vera Wang custom gown with Ms. Vera herself. I love the way her head piece and lip ties in the theme! LOVE!

I have always loved Mary Kate and Ashley. I am only adding them as I think their outfits are really intricate and lovely. They look really terrible though. Eeek.

Kate Hudson seen here rocking Michael Kors with Michael Kors! Her dress is perfection. She looks amazing and I love the gold and the glitter. Perfect for the evening!!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley seen here in Atelier Versace. She always looks right on point. Love it!

SJP in custom H&M and Andy Cohen in Ralph Lauren seen here looking fab! That hat she is giving is major, however again it matches the theme!! She is never afraid of bringing it outside the box a notch.

J. Lo looked amazing in Versace! The sheer look was on fleek tonight.

Madonna seen here in Moschino. YIKES. Thats it.

Solange seen here in Giles. Interesting... I think she was going for an outer space vibe...

Lastly, Rihanna seen here in Geo Pei. She loves big dresses thats for sure. I love her shoes but I am on the fence on the Queen like vibes this dress is throwing.

That wraps up this 2015 Met Gala review! I hope you enjoyed viewing all the great looks of this iconic evening.

Until next time fashion friends!

XO-
Cor

Wedding Wednesday- Best Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from  Elle Magazine . They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days. Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started: 1) No cream or white-- Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received. 2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be-- If the invitation says blac...

Trendy Festival Wear - 2016

Hello there to my favorite readers! Festival season is now officially upon us. One thing I noticed this year is that the fashion retailers are advertising specifically to the festival goer, making it easier than ever to find your perfect look. It doesn't seem like it has changed too much since last year, besides there is even more of a 70's vibe mixed with the 90's in these looks. However, we still have the obvious staples -- the  headbands, the crop tops and the ripped jeans. Lets dive right into some of the best festival looks this season and how they can transition into your summer wardrobe and beyond! Grecian style shoes . I mean, perfection. I mean, say no more! These shorts ,some denim, a big hat and a choker! Your comfy and trendy! Georgy Georg bright colored dress . Pompom Playsuit . Need it! PS, is playsuit the new word for romper!? Braided headband!? I want it and Im not going to a festival! Obsessed with this v...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancĂ©   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...
