Fashion Review - 2016 Emmy Awards

Readers,

It's award show season time!! I think the Emmy's have become one of my favorite red carpet events to review because television is at an all-time high as of late. With Netflix and chilling binge-watching marathons consuming my life, I have to tell you I am super excited to see what the TV stars are wearing this evening.

Let's get right into the best dressed of the night - and WOW there are so many shining stars out tonight:

Kristen Bell - SLAY!!! My god, she looks incredible in this Zuhair Murad gown.

Sophia Vergara looking beyond. I respect that she truly knows how to dress her body and she goes for it every season. LOVE this look!

Priyanka Chopra is looking STUNNING in fire red this gown tonight. Obsessed with the cutout, and the one shoulder and the slicked back ponytail vibes. YES!

CLAIRE DANES. STOP IT. My gosh, how pretty is this dress!! She looks like a true golden goddess. I hope she wins in this look - it's iconic!

Viola Davis is looking BEAUTIFUL tonight. The fuschia color of her gown is simply stunning. I'm bsessed and can not WAIT for How to Get Away with Murder to come back!

How amazing do all the kids from Stranger Things look!? From left to right we have, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Millie Bobbie Brown rocking the red carpet this evening. Two questions- who has seen stranger things and who can't wait for season 2? Whohoo!

Sophia Turner from Game of Thrones fame looks insane tonight! I love the sheer nude under the black look that has become popular as of late. Slay!

Laverne Cox is looking beautiful tonight as always in this golden moment. She always rocks the red carpet in a serious way!

Ellie Kemper is seriously the cutest! She is rocking this canary yellow color Jenny Packham gown. Rock it girl!

OMG Sarah Hyland rocking a crop pant/dress vibe by Monique Lhuillier! I know this is super different - but I think she pulls it off and it looks amazing! Plus, how comfortable does she look. Obsessed with her show Modern Family, and obsessed with this look.

Another Modern Family beauty Ariel Winter rocking the sheer/sparkle trend this year. She looks beautiful!

One of my favorite dressed of the evening thus far is America Ferrera! This LBD is elevated by the amazing sparkle and I am obsessed with how her hair looks!

Giuliana Rancic's ethereal vibe this evening is beyond perfection!! How beautiful is the dusty rose nude sheer tulle of this gown! OH and not to be outdone by that cape!! OBSESSED!

Tatiana Maslany of Black Orphan fame looking insanely beautiful tonight in this vibrant, red cutout number! I think she looks stunning. Who has seen Orphan Black? Should I watch it?

Padma Lakshmi is stunning in silver sequin from head to toe tonight! I love this Naeem Khan gown.
Anika Noni Rose from Dreamgirls fame looking absolutely stunning this evening. She is one of my favorites for the evening. Beyond gorgeous. Beyond!

Hanna Murray from Game of Thrones fame also looking ethereal tonight in this sky blue sheer dress. Simply beautiful.

Julie Bowen looking stunning tonight! Business in the front and party in the back.

Ladies, I have three words for you, "Hello Mr. President". SCANDAL love!

Kerry Washington... OMG - OMG. Could she look any better!? Hurry up January so we can watch the new season of Scandal!

Worst Dressed list:

Constance Zimmer I originally knew from Entourage fame, has sparked attention in her new show UnREAL that is on their second season. This dress should have gotten a second thought from someone... EEEEEP! Not her best.

Anna Chlumsky -- meh. Props for the color of the moment but... it just misses the mark for me.

I just can't get behind this J.LO wannabe look from Sarah Paulson. Eeep!

Amanda Peet. Does she not look miserable? YIKES.

Well, that wraps up this year's edition of reviewing the Emmy's. I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I enjoyed writing.

Until next time readers,

XO-
Cor

Wedding Wednesday- Best Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from  Elle Magazine . They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days. Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started: 1) No cream or white-- Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received. 2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be-- If the invitation says blac...

Trendy Festival Wear - 2016

Hello there to my favorite readers! Festival season is now officially upon us. One thing I noticed this year is that the fashion retailers are advertising specifically to the festival goer, making it easier than ever to find your perfect look. It doesn't seem like it has changed too much since last year, besides there is even more of a 70's vibe mixed with the 90's in these looks. However, we still have the obvious staples -- the  headbands, the crop tops and the ripped jeans. Lets dive right into some of the best festival looks this season and how they can transition into your summer wardrobe and beyond! Grecian style shoes . I mean, perfection. I mean, say no more! These shorts ,some denim, a big hat and a choker! Your comfy and trendy! Georgy Georg bright colored dress . Pompom Playsuit . Need it! PS, is playsuit the new word for romper!? Braided headband!? I want it and Im not going to a festival! Obsessed with this v...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancé   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...
