Fashion Review- 2015 Grammys

It's Grammy time readers!!!! Award season is just so much fun for me! Almost every other Sunday there is a fun award show to look forward to and this season we have been treated with some really stellar looks.

The Grammys are known for being a very eccentric, wild, risky, costume filled night. This year we saw a tremendous amount of black dresses on the carpet. There were short lbd's, long lbd's, sparkly lbd's at every turn tonight! I love this trend as it never goes out of style, but I did find it funny that so many people wore the popular color.

Lets get into it with the best dressed of the evening:

OMG Gwen Stefani looked beyond in this black and nude Atelier Versace jumpsuit!! She looks beyond amazing! On screen this translated amazingly well! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!

Miranda Lambert looks beyond!!! Very sexy lbd with a nice pop of pink and accented with very classy cutouts. This is one of the best looks I have ever seen her in!!

Meghan Trainer looked beyond lovely in her nude and black lace ensemble. I will tell you that her dress translated a little bit better on television, but she has never looked more beautiful! She also brought her dad to the carpet and it was the cutest thing on the plant to see.  I absolutely love her!

My one and only fan girl favorite Katy Perry!!! She rocked the Super Bowl last week and this week she is sparking straight off the Paris runway in this gorgeous Zuhair Murad. I know this dress is a little bit different, but I love the fringe vibe. Fringe is very trendy this season. I also love that she is back to her purple hair! Love this look!

Nicki Manaj Looked amazing!!! She really rocked it tonight! Here she is seen rocking a fringe Tom Ford gown in a major way!! Go Nicki!!

Jennifer Hudson seen here in all her Tom Ford glory! I just love her and not to mention Tom Ford is hitting it out of the park tonight!! Every time I see her, I think about her from her role in Sex and the City as Louise from St. Louis where she portrayed the best assistant ever. She is the most beautiful, not to mention truly talented woman. Go J. Hud!

Taylor Swift seen here rocking this sparkly, high low Ellie Saab gown. I love to see her rocking color and a totally different look. How much do you love the pop of purple in her heel!? Love. Obsessed with Taylor!

Lastly, and I wouldn't want it any other way... Beyonce!! She is looking extra Sasha Fierce tonight! I hope she wins all her Grammy categories especially for the song "Drunk in Love" which has been played on repeat in my house!

Lets get into it with the worst dressed of the evening:

Charli XCX looked... interesting.  I love the hot pink bow tie.. but I am not sure what look she was going for with the boa and the white silky suit. She gets thumbs down tonight. Sorry Charli.

Madonna is a legend who always takes risks. However, just because she is wearing Givenchy does not mean that its amazing. I may offend a few people when I say that.. but its a fact. I will however note that her body is rocking and that veil across her eyes is major!!!! This flashy costume look is Madonna at her finest and what we expect from her. This will be one that will be talked about tomorrow at the office.

Lastly, at the last second of the red carpet coverage, Rhianna rolled up in this interesting Giambattista Valli hot pink puff ball.. Not sure what to say about it besides, I like the color and the sparkle but its just too huge and insanely puffy.

All in all, major major fashion tonight in Los Angeles. It was everything we expect the Grammy's to be. Not too many awfully dressed stars of the evening, but so many phenomenal looks I will still be thinking about tomorrow!

Until next time fashion friends!!

Wedding Wednesday- Best Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from  Elle Magazine . They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days. Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started: 1) No cream or white-- Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received. 2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be-- If the invitation says blac...

Trendy Festival Wear - 2016

Hello there to my favorite readers! Festival season is now officially upon us. One thing I noticed this year is that the fashion retailers are advertising specifically to the festival goer, making it easier than ever to find your perfect look. It doesn't seem like it has changed too much since last year, besides there is even more of a 70's vibe mixed with the 90's in these looks. However, we still have the obvious staples -- the  headbands, the crop tops and the ripped jeans. Lets dive right into some of the best festival looks this season and how they can transition into your summer wardrobe and beyond! Grecian style shoes . I mean, perfection. I mean, say no more! These shorts ,some denim, a big hat and a choker! Your comfy and trendy! Georgy Georg bright colored dress . Pompom Playsuit . Need it! PS, is playsuit the new word for romper!? Braided headband!? I want it and Im not going to a festival! Obsessed with this v...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancĂ©   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...
