Oscars- 2015 edition

Readers and friends, It's finally the Oscars!! It is one of my most favorite times of year. I usually have a large gathering with my best friends and family and this year was no exception. We had apps, and champagne and truly celebrated the films, fashion and everything that is Hollywood. With that, lets get into the best dressed of the evening!! Lupita Nyong'o seen here in a custom pearl Calvin Klein gown. I will tell you, I was so curious how she was going to out do her last years look , but this is so beautiful in a totally different kind of way. I adore her and am obsessed with the pearls and the peak a boo cut outs that is this dress. Way to go Lupita! OMG Julienne Moore!! She is seen here in custom Channel and looks beyond gorgeous. This dress on screen looked absolutely incredible, yet I feel it didn't photograph as well. After wearing Givenchy all season, she choose to switch it up tonight which I was so happy about. I absolutely love this look and wi...

Dressing Diaries- Client Edition

One of my true joys about being a stylist is helping women find looks for important life events. This particular event was so much fun to style as one of my best friends was celebrating her pregnancy with this gorgeous shoot below. When she asked me to help style her, I started scouring the web for looks that would be great for her as we are no longer in the same city. She ordered two dresses from ASOS but after trying on this  white frock , she decided to go for a more structured and colorful look. This dress was for sure the right fit between the two of them as it fit her so perfect and she looked radiant. To recreate this look, check out the following: Dress: ASOS Maternity Sheath. Similar version available here. Necklace: Charming Charlie. Similar version available here. Shoes: Manolo Blahnik. Available here. Nails: OPI White Snow. Available here. Baby Moccasins: Freshly Picked. Available here. **PS- These beautiful photos were taken by the amazing...

#NYFW Trends

Readers!! It's New York Fashion Week which means Christmas in February at corStyle!! There have been so many incredible designers hitting the runways for shows of a lifetime!! I thought it would be so much fun to see what is trending at #NYFW so we can all be informed of what to look for come the Spring time. Modern Milatary Vibes: Marc Jacobs pushed the fashion envelope back to the 1950's for a modern military chic vibe. I love the black chunky "field jacket" shown below and the kelly green of the dress above as its an updated military shade. Marc Jacobs Shown below, is another modern military look that Ralph Lauren showed. I absolutely love that the pencil skirt is still in for Spring! I also love the all green look with the cognac accessories. This look transitions well into the "real world" so to speak. Ralph Lauren Hippie Glam: I was very excited to see what Oscar De La Renta's house was going to put out this seas...

Fashion Review- 2015 Grammys

It's Grammy time readers!!!! Award season is just so much fun for me! Almost every other Sunday there is a fun award show to look forward to and this season we have been treated with some really stellar looks. The Grammys are known for being a very eccentric, wild, risky, costume filled night. This year we saw a tremendous amount of black dresses on the carpet. There were short lbd's , long lbd's, sparkly lbd's at every turn tonight! I love this trend as it never goes out of style, but I did find it funny that so many people wore the popular color. Lets get into it with the best dressed of the evening: OMG Gwen Stefani looked beyond in this black and nude Atelier Versace jumpsuit!! She looks beyond amazing! On screen this translated amazingly well! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Miranda Lambert looks beyond!!! Very sexy lbd with a nice pop of pink and accented with very classy cutouts. This is one of the best looks I have ever seen her in!! Meghan Tr...

Makeup Obsession- Younique Moodstruck 3D Mascara

I have always been a fan of taking care of my face and trying new products to achieve the best version of myself all while having fun and switching it up from time to time. While speaking with my gorgeous friend Sharon, she mentioned she had stumbled across a new line of make up products called Younique . She had showed me her fabulous results and I was floored at the change in her lashes! She loved the product so much, she became an independent product presenter! I told her I wanted to try the new mascara and feature it on my blog and thus, my obsession began!! I have always been lucky in the fact that my eye lashes are long and I have never had to bother with fake lashes or getting extensions as so many of my other friends have. Let me tell you friends, this product will make you NEVER want to ever use false lashes again. I have been using this mascara for a solid month now and I'm hooked!! Here is a play by play of how to use your Younique mascara: First: apply ...

Dressing Diaries- A Night Out Downtown

Its time for another addition of dressing diaries!! This series is quickly becoming one of my favorite reoccurring posts. Saturday night was an amazing evening of reuniting with friends from college and over indulging in seriously delicious food. One of the most decadent things I have ever eaten was these amazing things called Prime Fries. These delightful potatoes were fried and covered in american cheese sauce, topped with caramelized onions and shavings of prime rib!! Let me just tell you, they are like In-N-Out's animal style fries , but kicked up a million notches. It was amazing, especially since I shared them with my bff! Alright then, sorry to get so far off the fashion topic!! Lets get into my outfit of choice for a night out in a downtown area. From previous posts, you know I always  obsess on leather . I thought wearing leather out downtown would be super appropriate and perfect as it was uncharacteristically freezing for this time of year (where I live anyways). I wen...
