HAPPY THANKSGIVING

For our first Thanksgiving together friends, I thought it would be fun to walk memory lane with Thanksgiving trends from the  past two decades!!  I adore the Food Network almost as much as I adore Louis Vuitton and they always have the best recipes plus I adore their Chef's. This pictogram is super cute and I found it very interesting as I am a true foodie at heart! Here's wishing you all a safe and delicious Thanksgiving with your family and friends! I am so very Thankful for my family, fiance and my loving friends. I am also thankful I had the courage to follow my dreams this year and create corStyle. I am thankful for all of my readers who lend me countless forms of encouragement and love. I can not tell you how happy this forum makes me. Cheers to all of you! Until next time fashion friends,  XO- Cor

Fashion Review- American Music Awards

The American Music Awards were tonight in LA. I am a big fan of the AMA's because it is like a two hour long concert of all the most popular songs from the past year. I saw some good performances tonight, some of my favorites were the Imagine Dragons, Lorde and Taylor Swift! Below, is my ever popular fashion review series. I hope you enjoy reliving this crazy red carpet with me! First, and number one of the evening in my mind is the beyond beautiful, Kate Bekinsale. She wore a Kaufmanfranco gown. At first I had the thought maybe this was too dressy for the AMA's, but in hindsight she was the most pristinely dressed of the evening! Hats off to Kate! Jennifer Lopez killed it tonight in a gorgeous, almost ballet inspired Reem Acra gown. Listen, she looks beyond amazing. She keeps up and kicks the asses of so many people her age and twenty years younger. Beyond fabulous  J. Lo, keep doing what your doing, it's working in a big way! Julianne Hough took the sleek ...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancĂ©   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...

Tis the Season -- Holiday Dress Guide Edition

Tis the season friends for family gatherings, work functions an abundance of Holiday parties! I thought it would be fun to blog about what trends are around this season in holiday wear starting off with dresses. I of course have always loved the sparkle vibes! The very first New Years Eve I spent with my love, I remember clear as day, I wore a Loft Sparkle top and black mini skirt from J. Crew. Below is a fun candid shot of our evening. Anyways, enough reminiscing! Lets get right into whats trending: One of the strong trends that is coming out this season is the use of metallics. I love all the gold and  silver looks I have been seeing. Here are a few options you may want to try out: This ASTR drses is so simple and pretty with the draping around the midsection! Notice here how Nordstrom's is showing this dress with lace up booties! It gives this look that extra bit of sexy edge. You can purchase it here ! How about wowing your date for the evening in this gold...

Retail Obsession- The Loft's Fall/Winter Collection

I was recently asked by a dear friend of mine to help her figure out some fall/winter wardrobe essentials as she prepares for a trip up North. As I was stalking all of my usual suspect places I of course stumbled to the Loft. Can I just tell you, I always have had a mad obsession with the Loft, but this year, the Fall/Winter collection is just absolutely amazing. If I had unlimited funds, and a way to sneak things into the house without Mr. CorStyle finding out, oh I would. If any of you readers are in the market to update your wardrobes for the cooler months, I highly suggest you take a peek at the Loft. Below are a few of my favorite looks that incorporate the seasons various trends (as seen previously on corStyle ) and of course, a few new looks. This faux leather shirt dress would look killer with cognac booties as well as leggings! It looks super comfortable and you can wear it to the office or out on a date by just changing out the accessories! PS- It als...
