Music Video Moments: Adele's 'Hello' Fashion

OMG! Adele's new album has dropped today and I am OBSESSSSSSSEDDDDD!! How fierce is she that she can go away for four years, have vocal cord surgery, a baby and come back literally just like no time has passed. Her music is like an old friend, you pick up with her where you left off. One of my readers gave me the idea of doing a blog about her looks in her music video for 'Hello'. This seemed like a fun challenge for me! It all translates very well to whats trending now and perfect timing with her new album just coming out!!!!!! Lets get right into it: The "entrance" coat - Where you can shop this look: Your Inspiration- Lapel Tartan Coat MCQ Alexander McQueen- Plaid Trench RACHEL by Rachel Roy- Plaid Trenc h Perhaps you don't want to invest in a plaid or tartan coat? How about a shirt that is almost identical to several of her video looks?  Madwell- Oversized boy shirt Forever 21- Tartan Plaid Button...

Trend Alert: Winter Coat Vibes

Hi Readers,  In my neck of the woods, it is finally starting to feel like Fall/Winter. I always put off blogging about Winter coats until it feels chilly or cold on the west coast. With readers all over the country who have colder weather in September/October it seems unfair to not blog about it. However, I just can't write about warm coats or winter weather until I finally need one myself! The major trend this year has been the trench and duster coats. Its long lines leave you feeling elongated and thin. Duster coats originated in the 19th century and were used by cowboys to protect their clothing from dust while they were riding the trails. It's interesting how they originated because today some of the most chic celebs and fashionistas are wearing them around town just to keep up looking chic! Another great trend this year has been capes! I love a good cape. Now, a cape is mostly good for the west coast population as it never gets too cold outside. Once, I wore a...

corBridal Special Series: The Wedding

Readers, Let me start by painting you a little picture. That moment you dream of as a little girl. That moment when you know you meet the right person your heart wants to love forever. That moment you dream of throughout an entire year of planning. The moment you walk down that aisle and marry the person of your dreams. Well, this all happened,  corBridal finally happened! My fantasy turned reality and it truly was the most magical, fun, day of my entire life to date. This time last month, we were basking in the glory of wedded bliss, living in those precious moments and preparing for a magical honeymoon to Hawaii! It was truly such a beautiful time in our lives! Now, there were a few pieces of advice that every married person before me mentioned and they were totally right. One, that it was the happiest day of their entire life and two, the day will be a complete blur and go so fast. I have bits and pieces of moments and photos to pinch myself that it actually was real. I some...

Trend Report- Are Turtlenecks Back!?

Readers, I have missed you! I am so sorry I have been so sporadic on blogging, I went off and got married and was basking in the joy of the wedding and the honeymoon for several weeks. I am now back to real life (re-entry to the real world has been so hard) and my mind is now in a creative space again for blogging which is great because we have got to get back to the trends! I am OBSESSING over turtlenecks. Some of my friends I have polled absolutely HATE the idea of turtlenecks being back in. Some are all for it. Honestly, the response has been super mixed. I am in the camp of being all for them which actually was surprising to me. Growing up I was forced to wear turtlenecks and swore I would never wear them again willingly. However, they have come back chicer than ever! They even have something new called a mock turtleneck which has a shorter neck which is great and doesn't choke you as much! Let me take you back to the 1980's to see what the old style of turtlenecks used...
