To see crop tops coming back in a major way seriously blows my mind! I grew up with the belly baring Britney Spears showing all the way from below her hip bones to right under her bosoms. I was scarred. I for one, was so happy when the extreme crop went away (honestly, I feel like it took at least a decade). However, the new generation of crops seems to be more subdued and even subtle if you will. The Billboard Music awards were Sunday night and all the gliteratti congregated to the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to honor the music industry. Here at corStyle, I wanted to focus on a trend that is making a comeback in a big way. Get ready.. get set.. Denim on denim. I can not believe that denim on denim is back.. and I also can not believe I am embracing it. As a newly engaged woman, I thought it would be fun to have a reoccurring post on the blog re all things weddings! First topic up for discussion will be The DRESS. Did anyone else get that overwhelming feeling when you realized how many different kinds of dresses there are out there? For instance, there is fit and flare, mermaid, a-line and ball gowns just to name a few. Now that I have been thinking about getting married, I will admit I have been fantasizing about finding my perfect dress. That one dress that my husband will see me walk down the aisle in. That one memory he will hold with him forever and it has got me very excited! Dresses that I have been noticing I love (this month anyways) all have lace involved in one aspect or another. In my eyes, lace is stunning, classy, elegant and just so beautiful. For my first official fashion review, I was elated to realize the Met Gala had just taken place! All the stars were out last night shining bright.. A few brighter than others I must say, to New York's Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute's annual fundraising gala. Let me start by noting a few of my favorites. Joan Smalls was so beautiful last night! She was accompanied by designer Vera Wang, who I have always loved. She designed her one of the most unique dresses I have seen in quite some time.  The color is so gorgeous and the nude/buff tones are super in this season! This look mixes gladiator tough all while having this romantic edge about her.
