4th of July-- Patriotic Outfit Ideas!!

Readers! Independence Day is upon us. A time to to remember our independence as a nation but also, a time to celebrate the coming of Summer with good friends and family! This post concept was brought to my attention by a faithful reader who needed some ideas on what to wear for the occasion!

My favorite girl, Katy Perry rocking what appears to be the most comfy patriotic outfit I have seen! How amazing that her stylist paired light pink bottoms with the traditional flag look on top! Maybe you can incorporate this pastel look for after the pool or what looks to be the perfect most cozy outfit for firework gazing! Photo Credit

Style In Chic

Miley Cyrus (who I don't always love), Alessandra Ambrosio and Ashley Tisdale are all rocking the same Wildfox Couture sweater. I love how Alessandra Ambrosa is pairing this the best with her amazing fedora (which is always in style). I think the others should have maybe allowed their shorts to show through a bit.. but hey thats just me! This is also perfect for the chilly beach weather while watching the fireworks! How cute are all these Ammmerrrica looks? My favorite of course is the Fancy look! I absolutely love the wedges and striped bag. Super cute and chic for that bbq you may be attending. I really think the casual looks are very fashionable as well. Try to pair something such as this you cant go wrong. Photo Credit

Lets recap a few essentials you will need for the day/night:

1- Sunscreen (haven't we all been there where we have been burnt like little lobster people come sundown).
2- Sunglasses! Chic and also, saves your vision.
3- Daytime outfit that can incorporate your bathing suit in an easy way if you are at a beach or a pool party.
4- Change of clothes for when the weather drops.
5- Booze... if you are over 21!

One last thought- if all else fails and you have no time to put an outfit together, grab your sunglasses, your fedora, some stripes or even some leopard print and your sisters and have a beautiful time!

That wraps it up friends! I hope you all have a wonderful, safe and stylish holiday weekend!

XO-
Cor

Wedding Wednesday- Best Dresses to Wear to a Summer Wedding

Wedding season is upon us and if your like me, you have just started going to all the weddings of the season! My inspiration for this post came from  Elle Magazine . They did an amazing article on the best looks to wear to a wedding and it got me thinking about wanting to give my readers some tips and highlight a few looks for these special days. Weddings are a lot of fun to go to and you always want to look your best for when you are seeing your friends and family! Here are a few rules to get you started: 1) No cream or white-- Please do not be that one person all the others are giving dirty looks to because you wore an all white look to a wedding. I think having cream or white come through in your look in some way is totally great, especially in these summer months. However, just don't have your entire dress be white. I have seen this done before and its not well received. 2) Pay attention to what the invitation says the attire will be-- If the invitation says blac...

Dressing Diaries- ASOS Sheath Dress

It's about that time to start another reoccurring series entitled Dressing Diaries . I thought it would be fun to give you a peak into how I style myself and how some of my favorite looks come together. Start of dressing process:  Very late at night, the day before an event (nothing like a fair amount of procrastination), I always ask my sweet  fiancĂ©   to take a picture of my outfit. By the time I get to the pictures, I have narrowed down the look to two or three different choices. PS- this is a really good tip if you haven't tried it before.  I know that sounds funny, but in todays world where there are so many pictures taken its important for you to be able to visualize the final look so you aren't left disappointed. It is also good to be able to see what shoes look best and what accessories complete the ensemble.  Completion of dressing process : I went with nude lace up heels (you can find something similar to purchase here ) and opted...
